かわらや 鉄板焼き？

Kawaraya a Teppan-yaki restaurant

今回は淡路島の南あわじ市にお昼御飯を食べに出かけた。
ネットで見つけた「かわらや」さんへ。（テレビでも紹介されてたんだけどね。）

We visited Awaji Island to eat delicious lunch.
Hubby found out a restaurant Kawaraya with the Internet.
( I watched that shop on TV before.)

「かわらや」さんは、広大な玉葱畑の真ん中にぽつんとあった。

Kawaraya is at the middle of onion fields in Minami-Awaji City.

駐車場はダートで、バスも駐車出来る広さ。ただし、アプローチ出来る道は狭い農道だから、無理か・・・

The parking area is dirt field. Enough large to park some buses.

「かわらや」さんは、文字通り、淡路島特産の淡路瓦の工場の中にある。
天日干しの瓦が綺麗だ。

And it is a tile factory. They produce tiles for house roofs.

見事な遠近法・・・

看板があっても、どこに店の入り口があるのかわからない。
工場の人が出てきて、位置を教えてくれた。
You won't notice that there is a restaurant inner of a tile factory.
A man came out from the factory and showed us where the shop was.

それでも、どこが入り口なのかわからん・・・　波板の引き戸の向こうなのだが。
This is an entrance but you don't guess ...

波板の引き戸の内側は、瓦焼き体験教室になっていた。
いろんな形の瓦のサンプルや作品が展示されている。

The inside of the door is a classroom of making tiles. You can have an experience of making your own tile.

そんでもって、奥の背の低いドアがレストラン「かわらや」の入り口。

And there is a real entrance of the restaurant Kawaraya.

店内。　壁は全部瓦。天井は縦半分に割った竹。圧巻だ。

Here is a restaurant.  The wall was made with tiles and the ceiling with bamboo.

テーブルの中央に七輪がはめ込まれている。

At the middle of the table there is a stove.

瓦に猪豚と野菜が盛られて出てくる。　野菜は、淡路玉葱、シメジ、ピーマン、カボチャ。
You can barbecue Boar pork and onion, mushroom, pumpkin  and green pepper.

瓦を七輪の上に置いて、熱してから食材を焼く。
お櫃で出てくる御飯がめっちゃ美味しかった。

Rice was very delicious too.
